On Corsica with bike and rucksack

The same problems occur everywhere in the world: where to leave your rucksack when you want to get rid of it for some time? Stations and some ferry ports have left luggage offices; luggage lockers are rare. Leaving your rucksack for 24 hours costs you about 16 FF, and the opening hours don't follow any scheme. You can leave your rucksack on camping sites, but no one will attend it. Just put all the things in your tent and make sure that it takes some time to collect all your things: spread them in the whole tent! Take all your valuables with you. We've done that several times (and I did it often before), and nothing has ever been stolen or added.

The CFC (Chemins de fer de Corse), the Corsean railroad company, transports rucksacks for free, and so do the bus companies. On ferries, rucksacks are handbaggage and free, too; there are lockers on several ferries, but they are really expensive. If you have booked a cabin, leave your rucksack there; at least the ferries of the SNCM have code locks at the cabin doors.

Having a bike with you is not a problem, either. We have heard that they are transported on ferries for free, and as far as I know the same is true for buses and trains.
